Resource wins new shopping centre contracts worth £1.4m

Resource, one of Ireland's leading support services companies, has been awarded cleaning and security contracts worth a combined value of £1.4m for shopping centres across the island of Ireland.

In Northern Ireland Resource has been awarded a three-year contract by BTW Shiells to provide cleaning and waste management services at The Oaks Shopping Centre in Dungannon. The company has also been recently reappointed by DTZ to provide the security services for The Tower Centre in Ballymena until 2012.

In the Republic of Ireland Resource has been awarded two new contracts by Savills to provide security services to the Leopardstown Shopping Centre on the outskirts of Dublin and The Park, Carrickmines - a mixed use development consisting of office, retail, warehousing and shopping mall.

Commenting on the new business, Ray Foran, Resource's managing director, said it was further evidence of the confidence of the retail centre sector in Resource's expertise in this market.

Resource is said to be the largest Irish-based support services company, with annual revenues of £150m and a workforce of some 15,000 across the UK and Ireland. The company provides facilities management, general and specialist cleaning, hygiene, security services, car parking management and other services to a range of blue chip clients in both the private and public sectors.
